The Complete Arenal Day: Bridges, Waterfall and Thermal Pools.
Everything in Arenal Expedition, plus the waterfall that makes La Fortuna famous. This is a long day, about 13 hours door to door.
The day starts on the 3.2 km family trail, crossing six hanging bridges and ten fixed bridges through the rainforest canopy.
Then comes La Fortuna Waterfall: 70 metres (200 ft) of water dropping out of thick jungle into an emerald pool, reached by descending 530 steps built for safety, with rest points along the way.
The day ends at Baldi, known as the world’s largest thermal resort, with 25 thermal pools fed by crystalline waterfalls. Two meals are included, since this is a long, full day.
We visit a resort with 25 thermal water pools amidst the tropical rainforest, these thermal water swimming pools are filled by crystalline waterfalls, for the use and enjoyment of all visitors. The purity of the water will make you feel like you are floating in an oasis of healing, with birds singing all around and the sound of falling water that invites you to relax and recover your wellness and quality of life.
Set just outside the town of La Fortuna, this 200-ft waterfall is a great place to picnic, swim or take photographs. The falls emerge from a thick jungle before plummeting into an emerald, green pool below.
The Fortuna River waterfall is located in a biological reserve with an area of 210 acres of transition premontane tropical wet forest, part of the Arenal Volcano National Park and is located at 520 meters over the sea level, where there are sources of our mountains and the waters of the Fortuna River.
To observe this splendid 70 meters high waterfall, visitors must pass a path of approximately 530 steps, which offers greater security to its passage and comfortable areas for rest and hydration through a forest with native trees of the area. Once in front of the waterfall, you will find a spacious and comfortable vantage point from which you can freeze your memories using unique and previously unpublished photographs, and finally take a refreshing swim in the clear waters of the Fortuna River.

About 13 hours door to door. This is our longest tour, so plan for a very early start and a late return.
How far is it from my hotel?
Travel time depends on where you are staying. As a general guide from Liberia: around 1 hour to hotels in Liberia itself, 1 hour 15 minutes to the Papagayo area (El Coco, Ocotal, Playa Hermosa), 1 hour 45 minutes to Flamingo, Conchal and Brasilito, and about 2 hours to Tamarindo. We confirm your exact pickup time when you book.
What is the difficulty level?
Moderate. The hanging bridges trail is easy, but reaching La Fortuna Waterfall requires descending and climbing back up 530 steps.
Is lunch included?
Yes, two meals are included given the length of the day.

What is the cancellation policy?
Free cancellation up to 5 days before your tour for a full refund. Cancellations made 3 to 4 days before receive a 50% refund. Cancellations made less than 3 days before the tour are non-refundable.
