Set between the Miravalles and Tenorio volcanoes, this is the day for travellers who want the rainforest without a demanding hike.
It starts with a one-hour guided walk where our guides find what most visitors miss: sloths, perfectly camouflaged in the branches above you.
Then come the hanging bridges, a hidden park of suspension bridges putting you level with the canopy, where epiphytes and bromeliads grow directly on the branches.
The day closes with a coffee and cocoa tour. You’ll follow the bean from cultivation, visiting every stage of processing, and taste organic coffee and chocolate made on site.
Nestled in between Miravalles and Tenorio Volcanoes, You will find this Hidden Park of Suspension Bridges, where they are impressive! Around 328 feet long and 115 feet high, they allow you to have a closer look at what goes on at the top of the rainforest. Epiphytes, the plants that grow on the trees, are abundant. The bromelia plants look just like pot plants perched on tree branches.
In our cocoa tour, you’ll learn about the cultivation of cocoa at its various stages of growth and harvest, as well as the treatments it undergoes to become a final product for consumption. You’ll also discover how it’s transformed into chocolate with varying cocoa percentages, and enjoy an exclusive tasting of our organic chocolate.

How far is it from my hotel?
Travel time depends on where you are staying. As a general guide from Liberia: around 1 hour to hotels in Liberia itself, 1 hour 15 minutes to the Papagayo area (El Coco, Ocotal, Playa Hermosa), 1 hour 45 minutes to Flamingo, Conchal and Brasilito, and about 2 hours to Tamarindo. We confirm your exact pickup time when you book.
What is the difficulty level?
Moderate. The sloth walk is gentle and the hanging bridges are an easy, flat walk. This is one of our lower-difficulty full-day tours.
Is lunch included?
Yes, lunch is included as part of the tour.
What is the minimum age for the tour?
4 years old.
What is the cancellation policy?
Free cancellation up to 5 days before your tour for a full refund. Cancellations made 3 to 4 days before receive a 50% refund. Cancellations made less than 3 days before the tour are non-refundable.
